"Strategy for breeding and protection in forest ecosystems endangered by the chestnut and May beetle" was developed as part of a development project financed in 2010-2013 by the National Center for Research and Development (contract no. NR12-0096-10 / 2010).
The strategy includes both short-term actions aimed at direct reduction of damage caused by grubs (larvae) and imagines (adults) of cockchafers, as well as long-term preventive actions.
The individual elements of the strategy can be used not only in forestry, but also in horticulture, horticulture and agriculture. Due to legal regulations, methods based on the use of routine (point 8 of the Strategy) and the pathogenic fungus Beauveria brongniartii (point 10) cannot be applied at present.
