Photosynthesis of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) on radiation polluted territories
The photosynthetic intensity at middle-aged tree forest cultures and half-sib progenies of Scotch pine trees, which grow on radiation polluted territories has been studied . The reduction of CO2 assimilation at radiation affected mother stands and Scots pine cultures on 17.5–58.6% was identified.
One-year-old progenies of irradiated trees are characterized by increased photosynthetic activity.
