Abstrakt

The results of the monitoring researches on thrips fauna (Insecta: Thysanoptera) in Białowieża Primeval Forest were presented. During 11 years (1989-1999) 39 species were collected, 9 of them are recognized as rare in Poland and one – Hoplandrothrips williamsianus Pries. is new for the Polish fauna. The Moericke traps situated at 1 m above the ground were the most effective in thrips catching. The connection between the type of forest and the structure of thrips species composition was observed.
