Abstrakt

The results of the study are presented on the occurrence and abundance of terrestrial entomofouna in the forest reserves Świnia Góra and Białe Ługi and in adjacent managed forests. Based on ample empirical data (almost 50 000 specimen were recorded and analyzed) it was found that species diversity and abundance of insects was not related to protection status of a given forest complex but mostly on its properties such as fertility, moisture, etc. The high number of Silphidae family was also noticed.
