Abstrakt

In the years 2001–2003 the investigations were carried out on the Dendrolimus pini L. and Lymantria monacha L. caterpillar mortality in the Scots pine stands sprayed with diflubenzuron applied in doses of 24, 36 and 48 g/ha. Treatments were performed by the AN-2R airplane equipped with Micronair 5000, using 3 liters per hectare of solution containing Dimilin 480 SC, adjuvant and water. Obtained results showed that caterpillars of L. monacha were more sensitive to diflubenzuron than those of D. pini. High death rate of caterpillars of both insect species in the stands treated with diflubenzuron in doses 24 and 36 g of active substance per hectare indicated that recommended now dose of Dimilin 480 SC equal to 48–72 g of s.a/ha should be reduced.
