Abstrakt

The aim of the study was to assess the influence of the acylurea insect growth regulators (Dimilin 480 SC, Nomolt 150 SC, Rimon 100 EC) on Carabidae communities and, especially, the influence of the length of the period of the preparations action after spraying. Research was carried out in forests of Wymiarki Forest District in Lower-Silesian Woods (South-West part of Poland).

Modified Barber’s traps were used for catching Carabidae beetles. There were used 10 traps per one investigation area.

The number of species of the autumn-type of development differs significantly between treated and reference plots in the first and second year after spraying.

In the case of species of the spring-type of development the some differences were observed only one year after spraying with Nomolt 150 SC and Rimon 100 EC.

The reaction of species of the spring-type development differs compared to the reaction of the autumn-type development species in the case of Dimilin 480 SC, Nomolt 150 SC and Rimon 100 EC.

The number of Abax paralellepipedus beetles on treated areas – the most abundant species of the autumn-type development was statistically less than on the reference area in the first year after spraying. The number of Pterostichus oblongopunctatus (spring-type of development) was statistically less on treated plots than on control plots only in the case of Nomolt 150 SC and Rimon 100 EC.
