Spread of the disease in the scots pine plantation as a result of the artificial inoculation of stumps with mycelium of Heterobasidion annosum
The results of artificial inoculation of every second stump in the row with Heterobasidion annosum „P” mycelium and 15 years of disease development in Scots pine plantation established on post-agricultural land are described. The presence of the fruit bodies and mycelium in roots, number of dead trees and the root-rot gaps extend were the measure of disease development. The results confirmed the efficacy of the inoculation method and possibility to assess the development of the pathogen in the stand.
