Abstrakt

The paper presents results of managed forests’ phytopathology monitoring carried out across the Poland territory in 1997–2001, and of research realized in 2001–2003 in Beskid Żywiecki Mountains area. Armillaria occurrence was analysed according to forest site type, stands species structure and altitude above sea level. The greatest intensity of Armillaria occurrence was noticed in sites of fertile forest mountain (LG), mixed forest mountain (LMG) and spruce monocultures or stands with large admixture of this species. Armillaria was not found over 1140 m a.s.l. Two Armillaria species were identified in spruce stands of Beskid Żywiecki Mountains: A.ostoyae and A.cepistipes. A.ostoyae was predominant among collected isolates what caused bad health status of surveyed spruce stands in Beskid Żywiecki Mountains.
